Tell us about yourself, where you’re from and what you enjoy.

I was born in Milwaukee, WI. I enjoy giving back to the community and the environment. I have a community garden in the front of my house, and I enjoy the nature and going on trails. Recently I’m learning how to jar food. It’s a mission of mine to be as self sustainable as possible.

Why did you start your business? What makes you passionate about it?

I started my business because of all the damage I was apart of. I was another truck dumping garbage into the landfills. I knew we needed a change, so I dedicated my business to put the earth first and spread awareness about how our daily choices affect the environment. I have a child, and just like anyone else I want him to have a future because there’s no planet b. I’m passionate to know I’m helping with reforestation and planting mental seeds creating outwoken people. We all possess the power of choice. Let’s choose to make better conscious decisions to impact the environment in a positive way.

What do you want people to know about your business?

When you support Outwoken Tea you support families since I directly source tea from small tea farmers. When you support Outwoken Tea you’re supporting the environment with every purchase planting one tree. Your also supporting economic growth because Outwoken Tea sources tea globally and packages in the U.S.A. Innovation was key with the packaging being compostable, biodegradable, and high post consumer use and much more. Outwoken Tea supports families, the environment and a greener future.

Please explain why your business is important to the community.

Outwoken Tea is a good representation of how determination can take you a long way. Within my community I’m hands on with the youth teaching them how to grow their own food and why its important for their health. As a person I’m giving so my brand matches my values to give back to have a greener brighter future.

Anything else we should know?

I did a webinar on innovation. I was selected on behalf of the WBDC and it was truly an honor. This is on my social media platforms and on Google.
